Brian Bartolec joined the Shadow Wood team in 2013. Brian's career includes spending ten years working for the PGA Tour and the Tournament Players Club (TPC) network of clubs. His previous experience included working at the Port Royal Golf Club in Hilton Head, serving as General Manger of TPC Eagle Trace in Coral Springs, and most recently as General Manager at Pelican Marsh Golf Club in Naples. Brian graduated from Michigan State University in 1995 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Marketing. Brian earned his varsity letter in golf all four years, and he was captain of the golf team his final two years. Brian is an active member of the PGA and the Club Managers Association (CMAA). Brian lives in Naples with his wife Shannon and three young daughters, Brooke, Paige, & Emily.
Soren Spiers joined the Shadow Wood team in April of 2013. He previously worked for the PGA of America for almost 17 years as their Director of Finance for PGA Golf Properties in charge of the finances for four of their golf facilities including PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, FL and Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, KY. Soren graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in International Business and Finance and is a Certified Hospitality Accounting Executive. He actively participates in the Hospitality Financial & Technology Professional Organization (HFTP). Soren recently moved from north of West Palm Beach on Florida's east coast with his wife, Maria, and daughter, Kelsey.
Danita Osborn has been the Director of Membership at Shadow Wood since 2010. She graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a Bachelor's Degree in Resort & Hospitality Management and a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA). She serves on the Board of Directors for the Membership Directors Association of Southwest Florida and is an active member of the Professional Club Marketing Association (PCMA) and Club Managers Association (CMAA). Danita moved to Southwest Florida from Massachusetts in 2005 and currently lives in Naples with her husband, Gregg, and their son, Grayson.
Tom Kern joined the Shadow Wood team in 2015. Tom's career includes spending the last 7 years as General Manager at Oyster Reef Golf Club, along with 3 years as Director of Golf at Port Royal Golf Club on Hilton Head Island. Prior to his time on Hilton Head, Tom spent several years on the East Coast of Florida and the Midwest in a variety of roles at private clubs, including General Manager, Director of Golf, Director of Operations, and Head Professional. Tom has been an active member of the PGA for the last 24 years. Tom and his wife Michelle live in Estero, FL.
Karon has been with the Shadow Wood team since 2009. After three years in the Food and Beverage department she joined the administration team to manage the office and promote member communications. She graduated from Southwest Florida College with an Associate's Degree in Graphic Design. She is an active member of the Future Leaders Education Program for the Club Managers Association (CMAA). Karon currently lives in Bonita Springs with her husband Mike.
Tiffany Younghusband joined the Shadow Wood team in 2013. Prior to working in the Club industry she spent 11 years working in the Hotel industry, most recently at the Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club. Tiffany earned her Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management from Florida International University as well as an Associate's Degree in Accounting/Finance. She is a member of the Hospitality Financial & Technology Professional organization (HFTP) and became a Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive (CHAE) in 2014. Tiffany is originally from Illinois and currently resides in Bonita Springs. She recently welcomed a baby boy, Colin.
Carol Cermak has been a member of the Shadow Wood Team since 2001. She has owned & operated 2 restaurants, one in Antioch, IL and most recently in Bonita Springs. Carol was a licensed insurance producer for American Family Insurance for 13 years before moving to Florida in 2001. She served as President of the Antioch Chamber of Commerce and Vice President of the Fox Lake Chamber of Commerce, both in Illinois. Carol was born & raised in LaGrange Park, IL, attended Carthage College and then moved to Antioch, IL. She currently resides in Estero with husband, Jim. She has 2 daughters and 6 grandchildren.
Andy Scrivner joined the Shadow Wood team in 2013. Andy has been a PGA Golf Professional since 2005 and most recently worked as the Head Golf Professional for Pelican Marsh Golf Club in Naples, FL. Andy has also spent time at The Aspen Golf Club, Baltimore Country Club, The Breakers in Palm Beach and Palm Coast Golf Resort. Andy is originally from Maryland and earned his degree from The Pennsylvania State University with a major in Professional Golf Management. Andy lives in Naples with his wife Elisa, and their daughters Isabella and Cecilia.
Bryan McComb joined the Shadow Wood team in 2013. He grew up playing junior golf in Sarasota, FL and has been a Class A PGA member since 2009. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Management of Information Systems from the University of Central Florida. Prior to joining the Shadow Wood team he worked at several clubs around the country including Tournament Players Club at Prestancia in Sarasota, FL, Connestee Falls Golf Club in the Smokey Mountains of North Carolina, and The River Creek Club in the Washington DC area. Bryan currently lives in Fort Myers with his wife Bjorne and their daughter Brayden and son Brenden.
Andrew Gettel joined the Shadow Wood golf team in 2015 as the 1st Assistant Golf Professional. He is a class A PGA member and earned his degree in Business & Professional Golf Management from Ferris State University in 2013, and was elected as a Class A PGA member in 2015. Prior to starting at Shadow Wood, Andrew worked for Cascade Hills Country Club, Battle Creek Country Club, the 2013 PGA Championship at Oak Hill, the 2012 Ryder Cup at Medinah, and TheJW Marriott Desert Springs. Andrew is originally from Michigan and currently lives in Naples with his wife Mary and daughters Sophia & Amelia.
Mark has been with Shadow Wood Country Club since 2010. He started as an Assistant Golf Professional and in 2013 was promoted to Co-Head Golf Professional before being promoted to Director of Instruction in 2015. Mark developed his passion for teaching the game of golf while he was an Assistant Golf Professional at Pinehurst Resort and Country Club. Mark came to Naples in 1999 as the First Assistant Golf Professional at Audubon Country Club. In December of 2000 he opened the Club at Mediterra where he was the Head Golf Professional. Mark also spent time at the Golf Lodge at the Quarry in Naples prior to joining the Shadow Wood team. In August 2006 Mark earned the designation of "PGA Certified Instructor." He was one of the first 100 PGA Professionals to be certified in Instruction. Since 2006, Mark has studied under one of game's great instructors and mentors, Jim Hardy. In 2010 Mark earned Jim Hardy Plane Truth Level I Certification. Mark is a Titleist Certified Club Fitter and in January 2016 completed testing to become certified by the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI). In June of 2016, he became a Certified Operator of the FlightScope Launch monitor system. Mark lives in Naples with his wife Tracy.
Jeanette Fulton joined the Shadow Wood team in 2006. She graduated from the Food and Beverage Hospitality Academy for Jerrico Inc. at Transylvania University in Lexington, KY. Jeanette has been in club operations since 1979. Prior to moving into golf operations, Jeanette was a Food and Beverage Manager for the Bonita Bay Group and Lochmoor Country Club. Jeanette is originally from Louisville, KY and currently resides in Bonita Springs. She has a daughter Karon, a son Tom, and two grandsons.
Eric Ruha has been with Shadow Wood for 12 years. He began as the Assistant Superintendent for the Preserve Course at the time of grow in and worked his way up until eventually being promoted to Director of Agronomy in 2008. Eric is originally from Hubbard, Ohio and graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy and a Minor in Plant Physiology. He has been a Class A member of the Golf Course Superintendent Association of America (GCSAA) for 20 years and currently serves as the Vice President of the Everglades chapter of the GCSA. Eric and his wife, Kara have two children, Evelyn and Jonathan.
Dan joined the Shadow Wood team in 2016. Prior to coming to Shadow Wood, Dan served as the Lead Assistant Golf Course Superintendent at Pelican Marsh Golf Club. Dan earned his Bachelor's degree in Ornamental Horticulture and Turfgrass Management from the State University of New York at Cobleskill. He hails from Perth, New York and has called South Florida home for 10 years. Dan and his wife Michelle have two daughters, Alexandria & Christa and one son, Zachary.
Stephen came to Shadow Wood in 2016 after serving the previous five years as the Lead Assistant Superintendent at Palm Beach Country Club in Palm Beach, Florida. Steven earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Florida, Gainesville in Golf and Sports Turf Management. Originally from Lakeland, Florida, Steven has spent his entire working career fine tuning his agronomical skills and knowledge of Florida turf grass. Past work experience includes TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Verda Beach, Calusa Pines in Naples and the Bonita Bay Club.
Todd Hoff has worked at Shadow Wood since 2008 as the Preserve Course Superintendent. He has been in the industry for 26 years holding positions at clubs in MA, NC, AL, and other Southwest Florida clubs. He attended Fayetteville Technical Community College and is a certified Turfgrass Professional through the University of Georgia and a Florida Certified Horticulture Professional. Todd is a 19 year member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association (GCSAA) as well as a 16 year member of FNLGA & EGCSA. Todd is originally from Sussex, NJ and currently lives in Naples with his wife, Lynda, and their two children, Lily and Trace.
John St. John joined the Shadow Wood team in 2016 as the Director of Food & Beverage. He has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, predominantly in fine dining restaurants. Prior to coming to Shadow Wood, John spent extensive time with both Ruth's Chris Steak House and Capital Grille as General Manager among a few other high end restaurants. His career has taken him to South Carolina, Georgia, California and back to Florida. John is ServSafe Alcohol certified and ServSafe Food Manager Certified. He is also a Level One Sommelier with a passion for fine wine. During his career he has earned a Service Excellence Award and multiple Wine Spectator awards. John served in the US Navy 1977-1981. He is originally from Lake Mahopac, NY and recently moved to Southwest Florida.
Chef Richard Crisanti joined the Shadow Wood Country Club team in 2013. He has over 20 years of experience in the Country Club industry, most recently as the Executive Chef at the Bay Colony Beach Club in Naples, FL. Chef Richard graduated with honors from Johnson & Wales University with a degree in Culinary Arts and Food Service Management. He began his career with Wyndham Garden Hotels & Resorts before moving into the Country Club arena. He is a Certified Executive Chef (CEC), a Certified Culinary Administrator (CCA), and a Certified Culinary Evaluator (ACE). He serves as the Vice President for the Southwest Florida Chapter of the American Culinary Federation. He was voted Chef of the Year in 2014 and 2013 by the Caxambas Chapter of the American Culinary Federation; the first time a Chef has one back-to-back years in the Chapter's history. Chef Richard is originally from Connecticut and lives in Naples with his wife Marisa, and their two daughters, Samantha & Cristina.
Cameron Hayes joined the Shadow Wood team in 2016 as the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage. His experience ranges from high volume casual upscale dining in iconic locations such as Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Breckenridge, Colorado. As well as luxury fine dining at Georgia’s only Five-Star, Five-Diamond, Relais & Châteaux property; The Lodge at Sea Island. Cameron received a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Georgia Southern University and is ServSafe Food Manager Certified. Cameron is originally from Atlanta, GA and recently relocated to Southwest Florida. In his spare time he enjoys the company of his fiancée and two dogs as well as Scuba Diving.
Tannis Edwards joined the Shadow Wood team in 2013. She has been working in private clubs for the past 6 years. Prior to working in the club industry, Tannis owned and operated her own restaurant. Tannis is married and has three children.
Chef Bounphet "Boun" Chanthavong joined the Shadow Wood team in 2014. He has been in the Country Club industry for nine years, most recently as the Sous Chef at The Sanctuary Golf Club on Sanibel Island. After graduating from the Le Cordon Bleu in Atlanta, Georgia, he began his career at Lake Oconee's Reynold's Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia. He is a Certified Executive Chef (CEC) and has been an active member of the ACF (American Culinary Federation) for over ten years. Boun lives in Sanibel, Florida with his wife Angela and two dogs, Hunter and Porter. Originally from Laos, Boun was raised in Athens, Georgia where he learned in the kitchen from a young age from his mom and aunt. Chef Boun loves food in all aspects, from growing his own fresh ingredients in his garden at home, learning new techniques and flavor profiles, to gratifying those that experience his food.
Chef Joe joined the Shadow Wood culinary team as the Executive Sous Chef at The Preserve Clubhouse in 2016. He has over 10 years of experience in culinary management serving in roles as Executive Chef and General Manager for several high end country clubs and restaurants around Southwest Florida. Most recently, Chef Joe was the Executive Chef at Little Harbor Club in Harbor Springs, MI. Chef Joe is an active member of the American Culinary Federation (ACF) and is currently pursuing a Certified Executive Chef (CEC) designation. He is active in the local community volunteering for various charities including Feeding of 5000 “Christmas in Immokalee” project, Naples Winter Wine Festival, and the Harry Chapin Food Bank. Chef Joe is originally from Pittsburgh, PA and now resides in Estero with his fiancé Angie and their pet boxer, Gracie.
Dave Dooley has been with Shadow Wood for over 10 years and has been an active member of the United States Tennis Association for 25 years. Dave oversees both the tennis and bocce programs at Shadow Wood. He earned a degree in Business Administration from Washington State University where he played on the varsity Tennis Team. In 2004, Dave was ranked #1 in Singles in the Men's USPTA Florida 40+ and was the Doubles Masters Champion USPTA Florida 35+ twice. Dave has been twice been ranked Florida USPTA Pro of the year. He is from Seattle, WA and currently lives in Bonita Springs.
Scott Harrington joined Shadow Wood in 2012 as an Assistant Tennis Professional and was promoted to Head Tennis Professional in 2013. He has been a member of the United States Tennis Professional Association for over 20 years. Scott is also the seasonal Tennis Director at the Siasconset Casino Club in Nantucket, Mass. Scott was an All American tennis player at Palm Beach College and ranked #1 in the nation Men's USPTA Open Doubles. He is considered to be one of the top players in the area. Scott and his wife, Amy, have two children, Leyton & Haven.
Amanda Tipton joined the Shadow Wood team as the Tennis Merchandiser in 2013. She has worked in the tennis industry since 2009 and was previously self employed for 15 years. Amanda attended college in her home state at the University of Kentucky. Amanda moved to Southwest Florida in 2008. Amanda and her husband, Scott, have three children, Hannah, Taylor-Scott, and Ethan.
