What Makes The Shadow Wood Community Stand Out

The CAI Community Association of the Year award celebrates associations that excel in operations, governance, and community initiatives. Shadow Wood’s recognition is a testament to its forward-thinking approach and meaningful contributions to residents and the broader area. Highlights of Shadow Wood’s award-winning efforts include:

Promoting Environmental Stewardship: Through participation in the National Wildlife Certification Program, SWCA has enhanced native wildlife habitats, creating a thriving environment for both nature and residents.

Fostering Community Connections: Membership in Engage Estero and collaboration with the Brooks Council of Presidents have strengthened bonds within the community and with neighboring organizations.

Modernization Projects: Renovations of the gatehouses and road resurfacing projects have improved infrastructure and contributed to the safety and appeal of the community.

With 34 neighborhoods, 85 lakes, and 350 acres of nature preserves, Shadow Wood is more than a community; it’s a place where residents and nature coexist in harmony. This award affirms SWCA’s mission to continually elevate the quality of life for its residents while preserving the natural beauty that makes Shadow Wood unique.
